The Director’s Cut vs. Sucker Punch

sucker punch
sucker punch
This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys get socked in the nose by Sucker Punch! Though we are anticipating the “Directors Cut” version with the additional 18 minutes of footage he cut out. This week, we have Chris Underwood in the studio as they review the flick. Ollie gets excited when he learns Teen Wolf is going to be on Blu-Ray. Dan gets a new case for his phone. What’s new? Brian calls in and eludes to some earth shaking news. Oh wait, that’s not new either. Sean gives us his pick for the Elitist Corner that he uses to simultaneously insult Dan and Ollie, and the guys listen to some new music submitted by YOU, the listeners, and comment. Yeah, that’s right, it’s the Director’s Cut.

The Director’s Cut vs. Hallpass

This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie talk a bit about the movie, and a lot about taxes, relationships, old Farrelly bros. movies, and themselves in general. So what’s new? Unfortunately, Brian’s not in this week, but Dan does spend 90 minutes insinuating that Ollie’s already been having extramarital affairs. Ollie spends those same 90 minutes denying it. Plus, we hear from Sean Gandert, who’s got an academy award related pick for the Elitist Corner. All this a so, so much more. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guys show about accusing each other of cheating.

The Directors Cut VS The Company Men

the company men
This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie talk about The Company Men. No, not any men belonging to any company that you’re in or even know of. It’s the star-studded new Oscar-bating flick about the recession and unemployment. Fortunately, Brian’s in the house to give us the latest news and abuse from Hollywood, the Internet, and beyond because otherwise the show would have been quite depressing. As a bonus, Dan also saw No Strings Attached, which later inspired a story from Ollie’s long-past womanizing days. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guys show about unemployed “F” buddies.

The Director’s Cut vs. Season Of The Witch

Season Of The Witch

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys watch Nick Cage’s latest flick: Season Of The Witch. There were a number of interesting things said during the show, and some of them may actually have pertained to the movie… then again, maybe not. Brian scooped Hollywood and the internet, once again, to give the guys and our listeners plenty of conversation pieces for the week. We also hear a bit from Sean as to why we need to see his latest suggestion on The Elitist Corner. Plus we have a the lovely, Casey Messer in-studio to give a review of Country Strong (and you can bet your @#$%, we played the Big Sausage Game)! It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about compromising positions!

The Director’s Cut vs. Black Swan

Black Swan
Black Swan
This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys slip off their shoes and slip into some ballerina slippers. The reason is because they saw a screening of Black Swan, and had a LOT to say about it. Also, Brian reveals that he’s fostered a kind of physical attachment to the DVD itself. Let’s just say this; if he could, he’d marry it. Plus we hear from Sean and he’s got a theme appropriate pick for the Elitist Corner. Don’t forget that we have a ton of listener mail that we’ve been sorting through, so be sure to send us yours now. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guys show about ruffling some tail feathers!

The Director’s Cut vs. Unstoppable

UNSTOPPABLE
UNSTOPPABLE
This week on the Director’s Cut radio show, Dan and Ollie are unstoppable! Well, the never-ending train of insults, pranks, and general mockery is unstoppable at any rate. Dan and Ollie go to see the new movie (featuring trains) and give the audience the low-down. Plus Dan reveals an interesting and important new occurrence in his life, which prompts Ollie to quickly improvise a new and challenging game for the listeners called: Rate Dan’s Date (that may have given it away). Plus, as always, we have your top ten list, and much more. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about Dan’s dates.

The Director’s Cut vs Due Date

road-trip
road-trip
This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Brian go it alone because Ollie goes MIA. The top ten list is road trip movies. Brian’s got great info, Dan talks about the box office, they take some calls, you know… it’s all good. Be sure so send your listener mail in with questions for the guys. For those of you who like to booze and view, be sure to check out Sean’s Elitist Corner, where he pairs up a cerebral flick with an adult beverage for your viewing pleasure. It’s all right here on the Director’s Cut, the two hours show about the movies! Next week: Unstoppable.

Tropic Thunder: The Directors Cut

Sleepy female on a sunny summer afternoonI was wearing a blindfold. Had glass of whiskey in one hand, the other was bare. I reached out before me amongst the dozen half empty bottles of random other liquids. Like a mad scientist, shaking a bit of this and pouring a bit of that. I bring the liquid beast to my lips. A grotesque slather reaches the back of my esophagus, I gag, water runs to the edges of my eyes. My chest is on fire, the demons within are lashing their pitchforks against lining of my heart. Tears are on the brink escape, like the day I asked out my high school crush and she told me she doesn’t feel the same way. Now my body is aching, my mind is on fire, my movements are slowed, my eyelids droop. I can feel my brain, it’s soft and fuzzy. The alcohol so potient, if I had a car, I’d be an illegal motorist. I place the glass down on the table and remove my blindfold. One drink, plenty. The taste of this concoction will never be forgotten, even though the randomness of the ingredients handicapped us from ever recreating the horrid debacle of an alcoholic beverage, again. So what now? The drink needs a name. A way to forever remember the honor of this lavish drink. But since we are a movie show, we asked for your help in titling this drink with a movie title.

On a side note, we review Tropic Thunder.
