The Director’s Cut vs. wedding movies!

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys talk about their favorite wedding movies. Why? Well that’s top secret, but what I can tell you is that they slipped off to Moab for a great weekend. No, they didn’t get married, so get that out of your mind. Don’t worry though, last week’s show had all of the goodies you’ve come to expect from the likes of Dan, Ollie, Brian, and the rest of the gang. Brian’s got some interesting news for the listeners, along with gizmos and the like. It’s the Director’s cut, the guy’s show about nuptials, movies, and booze. (not necessarily in that order.

The Director’s Cut vs Jackass 3D vs Red

This week on the Director’s Cut, the listeners get a two-for-one! Dan went and saw Jackass 3-D, while Ollie saw Red. It was a jam-packed show, but there was one problem: it was total chaos! Brian delivered the goods as far as news goes, so fret ye not, but for some reason Brian was a man possessed, and had a number of seemingly coded messages for the guys and for the listeners. On another topic: Dan and Ollie have indefinitely switched roles, and now it is Ollie who’s the level head, and Dan is the grouch. Believe you me, Dan was in rare form. Finally, as per usual, the guys have your top ten list (about retirement), and play fun games. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about going totally insane.

The Director’s Cut vs Piranha 3D!

Piranha
How many Piranha movies are there?

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys swim with the fish and show their underwater technique. It was all about Piranha 3D, so the top ten list was top ten movies with fish. As you’ve come to expect, Brian has the latest scoop on Hollywood, Dan and Ollie talk wacky gadgets for whacking, and then spend a bit of time talking with independent musicians. The musical guest for this week was Tin Pan, if you wanna check them out, just go to tinpanband.com. Finally, the guys get to the listener mail and play a nice little round of Coming Up Or Made It Up. It’s all right here, on The Director’s Cut!

The Director’s Cut vs. Where the Wild Things Are

The Director's Cut with Where the Wild Things Are
The Director's Cut with Where the Wild Things Are

This week, we went to see “Where The Wild Things Are” and this week’s Top Ten List is “Top Ten Childhood Memories Movies” – Sort of fits the movie we reviewed.  Davenport gives us 2 picks to take a peek at; one could quite possibly be the “Greatest Horror Movie of All Time!”  Sean Gandert gets heated in a “Where The Wild Things Are” Debate. Dan makes fun of Ollie – per usual. It’ll be fun 🙂 We eat pizza during the show – Because it’s almost as delicious as pies.

Our top ten list for next week is “Top Ten Movies with a Woman’s Name in the title” so don’t forget to vote:

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor – The Directors Cut!

Attack of the 50ft WomanThis week we Review The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. We count down the Top Ten Classic Monsters who became box office hits. While Davenports chooses an Italian zombie pick of the week. We get a call from Rob from KWSS and delve into the lives of other listeners. Ollie is shown here in the photo on the right. For this coming episode we are looking for suggestions for movies that have either a fruit or a train in the title. As you probably guessed it, we are going to see Pineapple Express and we’ve ran out of ideas for top ten lists. So what are your favorite Fruit/Train Movies?

The Directors Cut 04/12/08

Graffiti in The CityThis show sucked. It was funny, it was witty, Davenport got Ollie riled up. We counted down the top 10 inner city movies. We found ourselves laughing crying and eating pizza. But I advise you, DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS WEEKS SHOW! Why? Because it was a great show, everything was funny. Everything was exactly what we hoped for when we created this show. But, the recording this week sucked. Yup it happened again. The stupid switch on our recorder was switched to overdrive and we lost everything. It’s still there. But it sounds like we piped through one of Ollie’s guitar hero distortion pedals. Unfortunately this time he claims he “Just got out of the shower” when we came over. Sorry for the bum show. But at least we have a new website you can play with. And we have over 100 old shows you can listen to. Just find one you’ve never heard before. Or, you can download the new show and see what what we mean when we say, DON’T LISTEN THIS WEEK! Oh yeah, Dan will be gone this coming weekend, so be nice and hope Ollie, Deb and Davenport don’t screw up! Remember to eat acorns and Listen to The Directors Cut!
