The Director’s Cut vs. Water For Elephants

This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie get a little off the beaten path. Yes, they do the review. Yes, they talk about the latest in DVDS. Yes, they actually talk about the theme of the show: movies. But at the same time, they get on to do a lot of unexpected topics. Dan and Ollie have some phone with the telephone, bust a flow, and make Brian nice and mad. Trust me, just listen to the show. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guys show about making Brian mad.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Green Hornet

The Green Hornet
The Green Hornet
This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys battle crime with fellow vigilantes from The Green Hornet. Well, actually that’s not true. Dan and Brian don’t really battle crime as much as they just try to avoid it. Ollie’s out this week, so there’ s no Ollie The Idiot this week, but there’s plenty of wacky humor, great news, Elitist picks, and much more. Dan and Brian give the review of Green Hornet, and whether or not you should see it, or just skip it. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about the Green Hornet.

The Directors Cut VS The Company Men

This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie talk about The Company Men. No, not any men belonging to any company that you’re in or even know of. It’s the star-studded new Oscar-bating flick about the recession and unemployment. Fortunately, Brian’s in the house to give us the latest news and abuse from Hollywood, the Internet, and beyond because otherwise the show would have been quite depressing. As a bonus, Dan also saw No Strings Attached, which later inspired a story from Ollie’s long-past womanizing days. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guys show about unemployed “F” buddies.

The Director’s Cut vs. Black Swan

Black Swan
Black Swan
This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys slip off their shoes and slip into some ballerina slippers. The reason is because they saw a screening of Black Swan, and had a LOT to say about it. Also, Brian reveals that he’s fostered a kind of physical attachment to the DVD itself. Let’s just say this; if he could, he’d marry it. Plus we hear from Sean and he’s got a theme appropriate pick for the Elitist Corner. Don’t forget that we have a ton of listener mail that we’ve been sorting through, so be sure to send us yours now. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guys show about ruffling some tail feathers!

The Director’s Cut vs. Unstoppable

UNSTOPPABLE
UNSTOPPABLE
This week on the Director’s Cut radio show, Dan and Ollie are unstoppable! Well, the never-ending train of insults, pranks, and general mockery is unstoppable at any rate. Dan and Ollie go to see the new movie (featuring trains) and give the audience the low-down. Plus Dan reveals an interesting and important new occurrence in his life, which prompts Ollie to quickly improvise a new and challenging game for the listeners called: Rate Dan’s Date (that may have given it away). Plus, as always, we have your top ten list, and much more. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about Dan’s dates.

The Director’s Cut vs. Halloween movies

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys have a huge job to do. Instead of seeing just one Halloween movie, they decided to talk about their favorites and compile a top ten list of Halloween movies. Dan’s still pretty salty from his break-up, so as one could probably imagine, he’s a grouch. Brian did a bit of his patented “talking in circles” again, and Ollie went along for the ride. It was both scary and educational. It’s the Director’s cut, the guy’s show about Halloween.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Social Network vs. Relationships?

the social network

This week on the Director’s Cut radio show, the guys talk about The Social Network… or do they? The show goes off without a hitch, Brian does his news, they talk about DVD releases, etc. However; when the show gets to the point were the guys would normally talk about the movie, a strange thing happens- they don’t. Instead, they use the opportunity to chat, in detail, about Dan’s recent and unfortunate breakup. So as a warning; the guys didn’t talk about the movie at all. They did, however, both say, “see it.” Plus, the guys unveil a new game, and count down the top ten list (so not too much was out of place). It’s the Director’s Cut, the show about being sad.

The Director’s Cut vs Piranha 3D!

Piranha
How many Piranha movies are there?

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys swim with the fish and show their underwater technique. It was all about Piranha 3D, so the top ten list was top ten movies with fish. As you’ve come to expect, Brian has the latest scoop on Hollywood, Dan and Ollie talk wacky gadgets for whacking, and then spend a bit of time talking with independent musicians. The musical guest for this week was Tin Pan, if you wanna check them out, just go to tinpanband.com. Finally, the guys get to the listener mail and play a nice little round of Coming Up Or Made It Up. It’s all right here, on The Director’s Cut!

The Director’s Cut vs Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3
Toy Story 3
This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie go out to see the latest and greatest adventure where one’s toys somehow get out of their house, and try to find their way home. Dan takes a moment to remind Ollie that he’s an amateur with little hope of compensation because he doesn’t pull his weight. Plus, there’s proof when Dan asks Ollie to report on his trip to E3. Fortunately, Davenport had the scoop as well as his pick of the week, and saved the day. It was a close one, but all of the movies were reported on and the E3 did get some coverage after all! It’s the Director’s Cut, the show about Ollie’s mediocrity.

The Director’s Cut vs. Macgruber vs. 5 Years!!

5-year-birthday-cake
5-year-birthday-cake

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys take on two tasks. The first: this week’s review of the newest from SNL, MacGruber. Second: The very concept of time itself? How is that possible, you ask? Simple, the Director’s Cut has endured five long years! To celebrate, they have two special guests in the studio. They also take a phone call from a mysterious voice from the past. Who of the many celebrities, and interesting personalities that have been on the show over the years? Listen and find out! Plus, Davenport calls in to reflect on his favorite moment, Debra has the latest in News and Abuse, and much, much more! It’s the Director’s Cut… it’ll NEVER go away!
