The Director’s Cut vs. Sucker Punch

sucker punch

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys get socked in the nose by Sucker Punch! Though we are anticipating the “Directors Cut” version with the additional 18 minutes of footage he cut out. This week, we have Chris Underwood in the studio as they review the flick. Ollie gets excited when he learns Teen Wolf is going to be on Blu-Ray. Dan gets a new case for his phone. What’s new? Brian calls in and eludes to some earth shaking news. Oh wait, that’s not new either. Sean gives us his pick for the Elitist Corner that he uses to simultaneously insult Dan and Ollie, and the guys listen to some new music submitted by YOU, the listeners, and comment. Yeah, that’s right, it’s the Director’s Cut.

The Director’s Cut vs. Battle LA

This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan sees a movie by himself… and it’s not even the one we planned on seeing to begin with. Unfortunately, Ollie wussed out and didn’t see anything so he’s pretty lame. What’s new? Also, Dan and Ollie suffer from allergies all night. Plus, Brian pops in early and gets busy right away on adding his distinctive  flavor for the show. Interestingly enough, the guys went for almost the whole show without talking about the movie, or movies, at all. Oh wait, that’s how it is every week. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about everything BUT movies.

The Director’s Cut vs. Season Of The Witch

Season Of The Witch
Season Of The Witch

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys watch Nick Cage’s latest flick: Season Of The Witch. There were a number of interesting things said during the show, and some of them may actually have pertained to the movie… then again, maybe not. Brian scooped Hollywood and the internet, once again, to give the guys and our listeners plenty of conversation pieces for the week. We also hear a bit from Sean as to why we need to see his latest suggestion on The Elitist Corner. Plus we have a the lovely, Casey Messer in-studio to give a review of Country Strong (and you can bet your @#$%, we played the Big Sausage Game)! It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about compromising positions!

The Director’s Cut vs. 2010

happy_new_year

This week on The Director’s Cut, the guys take on 2010! I’m not exactly sure how one could “take on” a whole year, per se, but that didn’t stop them from bagging on the crap, and picking out their favorites for the year. The show was kicked-off with a special guest, none other than the insightful (and often inflammatory), Davenport! Heard it before? Well, not to be outdone, Psychic Anna calls in as well and makes her predictions for 2011! Tune-in and find out if she had shocking news about the future of the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about the new year.

The Director’s Cut vs Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3
This week on the Director’s Cut, Dan and Ollie go out to see the latest and greatest adventure where one’s toys somehow get out of their house, and try to find their way home. Dan takes a moment to remind Ollie that he’s an amateur with little hope of compensation because he doesn’t pull his weight. Plus, there’s proof when Dan asks Ollie to report on his trip to E3. Fortunately, Davenport had the scoop as well as his pick of the week, and saved the day. It was a close one, but all of the movies were reported on and the E3 did get some coverage after all! It’s the Director’s Cut, the show about Ollie’s mediocrity.

The Director’s Cut vs. Get Him To The Greek!

Getting Him To The Greek
Getting Him To The Greek

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys talk rock stars, booze, and the new film, Get Him To The Greek. Dan and Ollie find themselves in an interesting predicament- the studio was as hot as hell, as temperatures in Albuquerque reached 100 degrees. Their solution? Beer! That’s right, Dan and Ollie decided that it would be appropriate to emulate the very rock star life-style they had seen just hours before on the big screen. Needless to say, the show got pretty wild. They, once again, begged for money, Ollie committed to some pretty crazy stunts and Dan slurred his speech with the best of em. Plus, Brian stops by to wow the audience with his improvised guitar stylings. Is it the greatest show your ears have ever had the privilege of hearing? No, it’s just the Director’s Cut!

The Director’s Cut vs. Macgruber vs. 5 Years!!

5-year-birthday-cake
5-year-birthday-cake

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys take on two tasks. The first: this week’s review of the newest from SNL, MacGruber. Second: The very concept of time itself? How is that possible, you ask? Simple, the Director’s Cut has endured five long years! To celebrate, they have two special guests in the studio. They also take a phone call from a mysterious voice from the past. Who of the many celebrities, and interesting personalities that have been on the show over the years? Listen and find out! Plus, Davenport calls in to reflect on his favorite moment, Debra has the latest in News and Abuse, and much, much more! It’s the Director’s Cut… it’ll NEVER go away!

The Director’s Cut vs. Iron Man 2!

Iron Man 2
Iron Man 2

This week on The Director’s Cut the guys butt heads with Iron Man yet again for their viewing of Iron Man 2. Dan, Ollie, and Sean all go to the film, get wild, and cause a stir when they see the new Director’s Cut ad on the big screen before the show. The best response from the audience was total silence. Plus we hear from the guys and gals of the Screen Team. Also, as an added bonus, the studio gets hi-jacked by the Director’s cut mothers for Mother’s Day and things get crazy. The guys later read your listener mail and count down the top ten best blockbusters. Be sure so listen-in because choosy moms choose the Director’s cut!

The Director’s Cut vs A Nightmare on Elm St.

This week on the Director’s Cut we take on none other than Freddy Krueger himself! Dan, Ollie and Sean sit-in to give you their take on the newest Hollywood re-make of a classic horror flick; there may be some surprises! The guys comment on Jackie Earle Haley’s performance as Freddy, and the differences and similarities between the old franchise and the new hotness. Later in the show the guys take a moment to chat with the gentlemen from The Screen Team, and wax intellectual on movies and mothers. Dan loves to make moms happy. It’s the Director’s Cut, the guy’s show about movies and mothers.

The Director’s Cut vs. The Losers

The Losers
The Losers

This week on the Director’s cut, the guys take on The Losers. Unfortunately, it’s possible that the guys on the Director’s cut are even bigger losers than the losers. In fact, Dan takes a few minutes to point out to Ollie a myriad of reasons as to why he should just accept the truth that  he is, without a doubt, a MASSIVE loser. But Dan doesn’t go unscathed Comcast calls in, to remind him how much of a loser he is too, and let us all know how poor Dan really is. Plus, we hear from Brian, read your listener mail, and count down the top ten movies with losers. We can smell our own… it’s the Director’s cut, the guy’s show about movies.
