We did our annual Holiday Special in front of a LIVE audience! It was very much like a radio show from 1920’s, as all parts were performed on stage. It took place, Thursday December 12th, at the Albuquerque Press Club. The show was to benefit The Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico.

The show was sponsored by Local-iQ and Rebel Donut.

The Director’s Cut vs. Halloween movies

HalloweenFlashers
HalloweenFlashers

This week on the Director’s Cut, the guys have a huge job to do. Instead of seeing just one Halloween movie, they decided to talk about their favorites and compile a top ten list of Halloween movies. Dan’s still pretty salty from his break-up, so as one could probably imagine, he’s a grouch. Brian did a bit of his patented “talking in circles” again, and Ollie went along for the ride. It was both scary and educational. It’s the Director’s cut, the guy’s show about Halloween.

The Director’s Cut vs. Sherlock Holmes vs. Up In The Air

Detectives are HOT!
Detectives are HOT!

This week on the Director’s Cut we review Sherlock Holmes, AND Up In The Air. That’s right, it’s another double review! Listeners get two reviews for the price of one! Dan didn’t get to see anything, but that’s ok, Sean and Ollie cut to the quick as quickly as they can (which means then dragged out the review as long as they could.) Dan gets Ollie riled up when he puts him on the spot after the first review and the guys count down the top 10 detective movies, while spreading holiday cheer with a number of songs from Merkin Claus.

Captain KY Jelly, the only brand that The Director's Cut crew trusts.

In the spirit of giving and receiving, the guys open a very suspicious package from none other than Captain KY! The crew each get a gift from the show’s most insa… we mean DEDICATED fan! Dan, Ollie, and Sean open their gifts on-air to the shock and horror of all of us! Apparently the Riggler Recipe is just what the Captain ordered. It’s all on The Director’s Cut, the 2 hour show all about the movies!

The Director’s Cut vs. Couples Retreat

The Director's Cut reviews Couples Retreat starring Vince Vaughn
The Director's Cut reviews Couples Retreat starring Vince Vaughn

This week we review “Couples Retreat” starring Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Kristin Davis, Malin Akerman, and Kristen Bell.  Plus, we count down the Top Ten Women of Hollywood we want to see NAKED (hehehehe). Ollie took notes during the movie and we go over every single notation and judge him for what he wrote. Also, We need your nominations at podcastawards.com because we want to win that award. If we do, we promise more nude photos of beautiful women and and more merkin songs during the holidays – those were great, remember?

Remember to vote for your favorite movie based on a childhood memory for next week:

We have also included the wonderful links to our songs so you have to download and play at your next holiday party. They are not for kids, nor are they for most adults either!

Hancock – The Directors Cut! (and other dirty titles too!)

Superman, Batman and The Boy Wonder show their massive guns!

Ok, we have our minds in the gutter once again… Since we went to see the movie Hancock, we were investigating the Top Ten Movies Titles that may be mistaken for a sexual innuendo! We find them. Lots of them. Because our listeners, and our lovely Debra, is very dirty minded. Also we review Hancock, the greatest 4th of July film of all time! Ollie finds a nifty place for the union jack merkin fans of the world to unite. Davenport has a pick of the week, and Ollie gets some interesting listener mail. That’s about it this week on The Directors Cut! We need your suggestions for our top ten list next week Top Ten Movies From Hell. VOTE BELOW!
